Product description
Old fashioned flowering meadow mix – Native wildflower mix
Height: 50–100 cm
A historically authentic, natural and unmodified way to enrich and beautify your surroundings. This seed mix, including species such as Yarrow, Wild Chamomile, Hedge Parsley or Meadow Grass, Bugle, Cow Parsley, Bellflower, Hawk’s-beard, Meadow Crane’s-bill, Hogweed, Knautia or Tobacco Flower, Meadow Vetchling, Autumn Hawkbit, Buttercup, Common Sorrel, Sheep’s Sorrel and Meadow Clary or Yellow Goat’s-beard, is ideal for rich, heavy soils with moderate moisture – bringing nostalgic cut flowers back into reach with a little care.
One packet contains enough seed for 3 to 4 square metres. Sow very thinly on-site, rake in lightly, press gently if possible and keep moist until seedlings emerge. Germination and growth depend on conditions that vary from place to place and year to year, so not all species listed may appear.
This mix is not intended to create a fixed plant community, but serves as a transitional or initiating planting.
Sowing period:
Sow in spring, summer or autumn. Late summer sowing often yields the best results due to day–night temperature differences that stimulate germination.
