Buy Knotweed Online

Buy knotweed online. Knotweed or Persicaria, originally from Japan, is the ideal garden plant. This beautiful border plant flowers from summer well into autumn, sporting stunning blooms with red, pink, purple, or white spikes of flowers. And although it is often considered an invasive garden plant, many knotweed varieties are stunning flower border plants. Persicaria amplexicaulis or 'Firetail' is a good example. 'Firetail' stands out as one of the finest of its kind with its striking pink-red flowers. Tip: Combine knotweed with autumn anemones, yarrow and dahlias. Together they form a beautiful combination that is in full bloom around the time that the garden is losing most of its colour. You can buy knotweed online in our webshop.

Knotweed family

The knotweed family, also known by the Latin name Polygonaceae, is a collection of various plants, herbs, vines, ground covers, trees and lianas which grow and thrive all over the world. From rhubarb to buckwheat, and from Russian Vine to Vietnamese Coriander: The knotweed family includes about 50 different genetic species and more than 1,200 different varieties of plants. You can often recognise the members of the knotweed family by their flowering habits and spiky leaves. Butterflies, honeybees and bumblebees are not very fond of the members of this plant family. This is except for classic knotweed, Polygonum and wedge knotweed which do bring a regular visit from these flying insects.
