Cosmos
Cosmos is a real 'must-have' for your English style 'Cottage Garden'. Cosmos has wonderful fern-like leaves with daisy-like flowers in pink, purple-red, white and yellow. The orange and black/chocolate brown variants are particularly special. You can sow Cosmos in hot, dry places and it is an ideal plant for low-maintenance gardens. Cosmos is self sowing, so once sown, you can enjoy this wonderful plant annually, so just sow Cosmos on the spot you want them and the seeds will usually sprout in one to three weeks.

Cosmos combines wonderfully with many other perennials and flower bulbs: for example, Marigolds, Zinnias, Calendula and Salvia.
