Lavender plants for sale online

Lavender plants for sale online in our webshop. With lavender, you can bring an atmospheric touch of the Mediterranean to your garden. Everyone who has been to Provence in France will be immediately familiar with its fragrant fields of lavender. With their deep purple flowers planted in the yellow loamy soil, silhouetted against the bright blue sky in perpetually sunny southern France; it truly is as pretty as a picture. Fortunately lavender is also well suited to the English garden. Buy your own lavender plants, place them in pots on your terrace, and you too enjoy their fragrance on a warm summer evening. Lavender plants also make an excellent choice as a solitary flower display. And with a lavender hedge, you can create a visually pleasing and versatile border, as the shape and colour of lavender plants suit just about every type of paving.

Lavender planting

Lavender can be planted all year round, but this plant prefers sun-soaked soil and won't tolerate its roots sitting in damp or soggy ground. Therefore, plant your lavender in water-permeable soil and position it in a sunny spot in the garden. The best time to plant lavender is between April and August. Thanks to the heat and abundant sunlight, your lavender will grow and bloom rapidly. Even once it has flowered, you can still enjoy the fragrance of your lavender blossoms. The cut and dried purple flowers are ideal for filling potpourri bags and placing in wardrobes or under your pillow.

Pruning lavender

Regular pruning or trimming of your lavender is critical to growing a beautifully full and richly flowering shrub. For the best results, you should make sure you prune twice a year. This will ensure your lavender plants last a long time so you can continually enjoy their fragrance and colour in the garden, year after year.
