Ornamental Corn (Zea Japonica) - corn ready for carnival
The name says it all. Ornamental Corn is a cultivated type of maize intended for ornamental use and an inhabitant of Limburg province once said that Ornamental Corn is a type of maize ready for carnival. And it is. Ornamental Corn is a cheerful and friendly feast for the eye that Koeman Garden Centre sells in large cob and small cob Ornamental Corn varieties in various colours of red, pink, orange and blue and many other intermediate hues.
Create wonderful autumn and dried flower arrangements with Ornamental Corn
Ornamental Corn varieties are wonderful border plants that fill gaps and give structure, especially at the back of a flower border. In addition, Ornamental Corn is excellent to dry and use in autumn bouquets (combine dried Ornamental Corn on the cob with fresh flowers) and dried flower arrangements. Ornamental Corn is simple to dry, just cut off the cobs and remove the surplus leaves (a bit of leaf is beautiful) and hang them upside down in a cool environment with some draft.
