Planting Instructions – Tulips ‘Perla Mix’
- Choose a location: Plant the tulips in a sunny to partially shaded spot. A sunny location will provide the best flowering.
- Soil: Use well-drained, nutrient-rich soil. Avoid areas where water tends to remain, as this can cause the bulbs to rot.
- Planting time: Plant the bulbs from September to December, as long as the ground is not frozen.
- Planting depth: Plant the bulbs approximately 10–15 cm deep.
- Planting distance: Keep approximately 10 cm between the bulbs. Plant them in groups for a fuller and more colourful effect.
- Planting method: Place the bulb in the soil with the pointed end facing upwards and cover it with soil.
- Watering: Water thoroughly after planting. After that, additional watering is usually not necessary, except during prolonged periods of drought.
- After flowering: Allow the foliage to die back completely before removing it. This allows the bulb to store nutrients for the following season.
- In pots: Also suitable for pots and planters. Make sure they have sufficient drainage holes and use well-draining potting soil.
