Product description
For all pruning and branch shears with a parrot-beak design (round upper blade). The pair of shears need not be taken apart to be sharpened. It consists of a guide into which you insert the blade opposite to the side you want to sharpen. Place the whetstone on the blade and move it smoothly 5-10 times over the knife. Then remove the grindstone once completely flat on the other side to grind off any burrs. It is possible to end up with a fine finish. If your shears are terribly blunt (not sharpened for years), the stone of the grinding aid can be worn out before your knife is sharp, so first use a coarse file or springer. This handy grinding aid is recommended by the Royal National Rose Society.Pruning shears can be ground with this sharpener about 10 times
