Product description
Flowers as green manure crop.Tagetes are widely used, alongside green manure crops, as a non-chemical method of combating (up to as much as 90%) nematodes and nitrogen production. Pratylenchus penetrans is a free-living lesion nematode. If the soil is severely infected with these nematodes many crops, such as carrots, lettuce, endives, pickle, leeks, shallot, celery, chicory and strawberries, will suffer serious damage with a smaller yield and a reduced quality of the harvested product as a result. These nematodes also increase the damage caused by fungi. Sowing time: April to end of June. Sowing depth: 1-1.5 cm. Distance between the rows: 35 cm. Height: 30 cm. 50 grams is suitable for 50m2. Keep crop for at least 3 months. After the first night frost the crop dies and can be mowed and ploughed.
