Camellia japonica Dr King features beautiful, pink flowers adorned with a yellow heart. Growing upright with large, cherry red blooms it is complemented with glossy evergreen foliage. Ensure you follow a regular watering schedule until it has become thoroughly established. Mulch will keep its roots cool and promote water retention, and be sure to use an acidic fertiliser come autumn. When the flowers are so dense that the blooms don't have room to open fully, it is time to prune dead or weak wood. Tolerates pruning well.
