Echinacea Purpurea For Sale Online

Echinacea Purpurea is for sale online via our webshop. Echinacea purpurea, also known as purple coneflower, is a popular perennial garden plant in England. Moreover, much loved by English garden enthusiasts. This is due to the plants' stunning, eye-catching purple coloured, daisy-like flowers with golden spiky hearts. Purple coneflower attracts butterflies - as well as birds - to the garden like magnets. Favourite varieties in England include Echinacea purpurea Magnus and white flowering Echinacea purpurea Alba. Echinacea is easy to combine with other garden perennials and thrives in a sunny spot in the flower border. A bonus is that the plants are also drought-resistant. Mix purple coneflowers with Salvia, Agastache, Crocosmia or phlox for a stunning summer flower display.

Echinacea Purpurea pruning

Echinacea Purpurea is very easy to grow and care for, and pruning is an easy job. Prune your plants during early spring by cutting the plants down to the ground. Your plants will grow back vigorously and often larger and with more flowers than the year before. Be sure to mulch the plants after the growing season has ended. Adding a layer of compost around your plants during the autumn season is very beneficial. Echinacea is an excellent summer flowering plant, flowering from July to September. It is also a beautiful plant for the cutting garden, as purple coneflowers are beautiful cut flowers. Tip: Remove wilted flower petals when your flowers are in the vase to extend the vase life.
