Pond plants for sale online

Pond plants for sale online in our webshop to help create and style your very own beautiful pond. There are many types of pond plants available for you to choose from; for example, some species grow well on the banks of a pond or others that prefer floating on the surface of the water. Pond plants not only ensure that fish can find a place in the shade, but your frogs will enjoy lying upon the large leaves of water lilies as well. Having plants in your pond ensures that the aquatic environment remains healthy all year round as they absorb nutrients from the water and in return release oxygen into the water. This keeps the pond healthy and clean, and plants, fish and frogs have an abundance of oxygen to live. Buy pond plants online in our webshop for a healthy pond at home.

Planting pond plants

Planting pond plants are not at all difficult, although it is preferable they are in planted with minimum delay. Typically, healthy pond plants will thrive and grow quite rapidly. Species which grow along the bank can be positioned directly into the soil, but for plants that prefer the water, it is advisable to place them in special pond baskets to prevent them from becoming too big. Be sure to cover your basket with jute, as this stops the soil from washing away. Scoop the basket full of pond soil and place the pond plant in the middle of the basket. Cover the soil with jute lap and then scoops of gravel to hold everything in place. The basket and plant are then ready to be planted straight into your pond.
